Information:
A minimum of five students work at least 25
hours per week in a paid internship learning
the different aspects of multimedia careers.
Students are given training in web design, video,
photography, interviewing techniques, production,
organizational skills editing and posting.

Stress Center, Proud Father Program

Information:
Proud Father Program is a comprehensive social
service program for fathers living in Bay Point,
Pittsburg, and Antioch with multiple barriers
to supporting their children financially, emotionally,
and socially. Proud Father’s program offers
job training that leads to employment opportunities,
parenting skills, anger management, and community
college preparation.

Achievement of the Bay Area, Inc.

Junior Achievement supports systemic educational
improvements that provide youth with the support
and opportunities necessary for a successful
transition from childhood through adolescence
to adulthood. They bring community volunteer
role models into school classrooms, enhancing
ongoing curriculum, and creating a supportive
learning environment. Junior Achievement helps
students define their expanding roles in society
by connecting young people to the community
and the community to schools.

La Clinica De La Raza’s Pittsburg Community
Health Education Youth Promoters Project trains
at-risk youth from Pittsburg/Bay Point to become
health promoters, or lay health educators in
the community, with a particular focus on violence
prevention participants also receive academic
support, college counseling and exposure to
careers in healthcare.

Manager one hour a week. ASSESSMENT: Vocational
Evaluation will be performed to see if training
is appropriate
TUTORING: Professional Development, Basic English

Case manager works with employer to assist with
the transition to work and job retention.
